The recently completed Adele Live 2016 tour, in support of Adele’s current album release, 25, swept through North American arenas (including Madison Square Garden, Staples Center, and United Center) from July 5 through November 9, followed by dates in Mexico on November 14 and 15. Adele toured with a nine-member band, plus the Wired Strings, an all-female group of string musicians, led by cellist and arranger Rosie Danvers. Vater Percussion caught up with drummer Derrick Wright in September while the group was performing in Boston at TD Garden, and asked him to talk about his choices of Vater gear for this major tour production.

Earlier in the year, while Adele and company were performing in Manchester, UK, at Manchester Arena, Roland invited Wright and percussionist Aaron Draper to walk viewers through their Roland Hybrid setups and explain how they use them to re-create Adele’s studio sounds live onstage.

Finally, London Drum Company provides a close-up look at Wright’s touring setup for Adele, explaining how his electronic gear is set up for performing with Adele.
